OpenParens' Space

Welcome! I am Subrahmanyam and this is my writing space where I write about anything that catches my fancy. Usual suspects are Software Engineering & Math.

In a previous life, I was a Software Engineer at Google where I TLed infrastructure for Google Ad Manager. At some point, I was also an assistant researcher at Microsoft Research in the Rigorous Software Engineering group. I also dabbled in Competitive Programming before the term was coined and was a World Finalist at Google Code Jam, at Topcoder Open & Collegiate Challenge.

I am an avid fan of test match cricket (where each game is 5 days) being the game that most closely resembles the swings and roundabouts of life itself. I’ve learnt many a life lesson watching it. I also read a fair amount of math history and found the history of Euler’s Gamma function, of Calculus, of i to be gripping reads.
